The exact formula

Lower side ≥ 0.6 × Higher side. Gap = (Higher − Lower) ÷ Higher. If the gap is over 40%, the trade is blocked with a "Value difference too high" error. Market trade values do not matter here — only in-game shop (Beli) prices count.

Gap: 61.3% — over the cap. Lower side needs +$1,700,000 Beli in fillers.

You: Buddha + Portal = 3,100,000 Beli. They: Dough (2,800,000 Beli).

Gap: 9.7% — inside the cap. The trade goes through.

Fillers are judged by Beli per slot. Tier S fillers are cheap and nobody minds losing them; Tier A gives more Beli per slot but costs real trade value — use only when needed.

3 golden rules

  1. The formula: lower side ≥ 0.6 × higher side. Always check Beli totals before negotiating — a trade can be fair on market value and still be blocked.
  2. The bypass: permanent fruits and gamepasses are bought with Robux and have no Beli price, so they do not count toward the cap. A trade containing one bypasses the restriction.
  3. The 4-slot trap: each side has only 4 slots. If all 4 are full and the gap still is not closed, you cannot add more — swap a low-Beli item for a higher-Beli one instead. If someone suggests splitting the trade into two steps, be careful: never hand over your high-value item first to a stranger. Only 2-step with players you trust, or use a middleman from an official trading server.
